The final event of the 2014 Season took place on Friday 17th October at St John Fisher High School, Newcastle Under Lyme. The presentation was proceeded by some roller racing for the under 16’s with some thrilling racing witnessed by a large crowd of supporters. Along with the main prize winners shown below there were also flowers presented to Nesta Stubbs ( Signing on and refreshments), Sue Robinson ( Treasurer), Heather Houlton ( signing on and refreshments) and Sue Notley ( Judging). All prizes were presented by the leagues two World Masters Champions Phil Houlton and James Notley and league sponsor Tony Brooks.
A special thanks go to the league sponsors this year in Brooks Cycles and to Lyme RC for their sponsorship of the Freewheelers League. Also thanks to Swinnerton Cycles for their sponsorship of the Roy Swinnerton Memorial 10 Mile Scratch and also for sponsoring the two Open meets at the league this year.
The final thanks must go to all the officials, coaches and volunteers of the league who have made the 2014 so successful with record attendances at both league and training sessions.
